About

Our brand strategy is built on a slow fashion ethos: we produce a very limited
 number of units per year to avoid supply-induced waste vastly limiting our
 emissions. That, however, is not enough, Spec_ial is committed to neutralizing
 its environmental impact. We prioritize eco-conscious materials and
 manufacturers and monitor our footprint throughout production. Remaining
 emissions are 100 percent offset with funding of carbon-reducing projects that
 promote biodiversity in ecosystems and regenerative agriculture and donations
 to organizations on the frontlines of the climate change fight, including
 NRDC, The Sunshine Movement, Project Drawdown and Rock Mountain Institute. The
 true effect of carbon reducing efforts are difficult to measure perfectly, but
 Spec_ial believes that by donating to both political organizations that fight
 climate change and committing money to companies that have proven track
 records to offset climate change is the best route to create a neutral or

Environmental Impact

As a for profit company, we believe it’s important to make positive change with our profits, which is why we donate 5 percent of each collection's profits to local organizations that elevate quality of life for communities with limited access to essential resources.
